Bombardier Beetle Defies Evolution

It pretty much logically disproves the evolution theory by using a Bombardier Beetle.

Sometimes I like to start my posts out in my head by asking myself a question.  How do you suppress or rather hide truth?
The first thing that comes to my mind and I bet to many other peoples minds is to lie.  Yet Romans 1:18 makes me feel that there are many greater depths that we hide truth at than simply the action of lying.

"(NKJV) Romans 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them"

Sometimes we end up reading a verse in the bible with a tunnel vision that is given to us by our culture as opposed to gaining our perspective from the Word of God.  The word truth here is more than simply "not lying" but a way of living.  Its actions of truth beyond ideas and words.  In essence its holding true to the righteousness of God that is taught in the bible.
The people that this Godly wrath is being dished out to are people who know God’s truth and still proceed in unrighteousness.  The people who choose not to glorify God with the praise and acknowledgment that He is do.

What amazes me about this scripture is that even through unrighteousness we can see God.  Not only is He a God who we can see in the beauty of creation and joys of life but He is also a God that shines through even in the midst of darkness.   Reminds me of an Andy Hunter song called "Life Light".

How do you reveal biblical truth in your life?

Generally when I fly I’ll make sure I’ve got some stand-up comedy skits and chill music loaded on my mp3 player.  It really helps pass the time and give me a good laugh durring the long flights.

This year I’ll be trying something new… I got a 30 hour battery for my cellphone and I’ve decided to rip a bunch of dvd’s to a memory card.  I have currently loaded onto my phone:
- Flight of the Conchords (all of season 1)
- One Perfect Day (australian DJ movie)
- Baby Mama
- National Treasure 2
- Tongan Ninja
- You don’t mess with the zohan
- Hot Rod

The software is free for turning your dvd’s into little videos for your cellphones, iphones and whatever else… its called DVD Catalyst - http://www.pocketdvd.ca

I’ll still have my mp3 player just in case this doesn’t work out as good as I planned but this should be fun.  At least I don’t have to carry one of those dvd players with me or buy a little digital video player.

Tim and I ate at sonic’s last night and I’m not going back.  The burger was good but disgusting and way too much money for what it was.
I also got a "Sonic Blast" pretty much a McFlurry.  I ate that around 6pm and I’ve currently been awake for 26 hours.
I don’t know what was in that food but I couldn’t sleep last night.

I thought of many good blogging ideas as I tossed and turned… thought about a few friends… at one point yelled ‘ahhh’ audibly because I was frustrated that I wasn’t falling asleep.

I need to sleep.

I learned my first real german word other than "musik" which happens to be way to easy haha
The word is "Unterwegs" and it means "On the way".

Hike The Most Dangerous Trail On Earth

Makes me think about how serious this scripture really is:
Matthew 7:13-14
13 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

What makes us treasure things?  When I’m outside in the awesome sunlight I treasure that moment because of its beauty and joy it brings me.  Granted sunlight might have a chemical effect as well but still I treasure it.
When I put a smile on someones face I treasure that moment because seeing someone with joy only fills me with joy.  I treasure the wisdom of my parents because I know they love me and have the best intentions.

So those were some things that I treasure and the reasons why but there seems to be a lot of different reasons as opposed to one universal reason why I choose to cherish different things, moments and people.  Really the word here that is missing is "value".  The reason I treasure all of the above is because I put value on them.
 

Matthew 6:19-21 (NIV)

19"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

First off this scripture says "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on the earth". This does not mean that we should cherish nothing down here on earth.  It simply means that we should value the things of heaven more than the things of earth.  It all falls into play that if we cherish the things of heaven, it will trickle down into us cherishing God’s creation.

"where moth and rust do not destroy" - back in the time of when this scripture was written I’d imagine that their homes were not very weatherproofed or climate controlled as we are today… for a moth to get into their home to eat their clothes or moisture to get to there things must have been really easy and a common occurance.  For them back in the day this was probably an unbelievable statement that no one could imagine and yet it seems so minimal to us.   There clothes would not wear out, their tools would not rust and break… these things were their lives!  Probably the things that they valued most in life(other than each other and God)!

"For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." - This verse is such a timeless principle. A easy example is that when you love someone, you cherish their well being over anyone else.  I treasure the gift of being able to play music and I deffinetaly put my heart into it.  This works on many levels.  The one level that this scripture passage is hinting on is how we should treasure our relationship with God.   We should value God above everything.  Not only is it a value of respect but a value of the heart..
 

My mom is funny how she tells this story about how I flew across the country without telling her and surprised her!  But lets let her tell the story

I know its like a month later but I finally got around to editing the video from my weekend trip to jersey back in november for the anthem of hope "extravaganza" haha.
I uploaded it to my  youtube page.  I completely change the vibe of the video with a cool airport shot about 4:16 into the video.  I think it came out neat.
